WEBSITE COMMITTEE REPORT 2010
A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF A WESITE SERVANT

Dear Rector, Vestry and Parish Members,

I am writing from the comfort of my living room recliner, way down here in Arkansas. While it has now been a couple years since I have been able to worship with you in person, I have been able to share your worship services from the distance. Thanks to Tree Nelson, who has been your faithful Website Servant for the past four years, I have been able to enjoy photos of nearly all the Worship Services provided by St Matthew’s along with all of the Celebrations.

It is with great appreciation that would like to express thanks to Tree Nelson for all his dedication and continuous beautiful work that he has put into making St. Matthew’s Website a place that people from afar have been drawn to. It has given those of us near and far a sense of still being connected to you and still being able to share in the lives of many.   Thank you Tree and you will be dearly missed for ALL that you do at St. Matthew’s and beyond the boundaries of the Sacred ground.
Speaking for myself and Tree this ministry is a lonely one. Lots of time is spent fine tuning photo, audios and videos, bulletins, posting newsletters and weekly schedules that are ever changing. You don’t hear much from us while we are creating, but the rewards come to us when we hear someone comment on a Sermon they heard, or, someone thanks you for putting their wedding photos online for them so they can now download them to their own computer and make prints from them.

While we are losing Tree and his gifts of creative talents because God is directing his life and taking him in another direction, we wish him the very best in his new adventure.
Now, I must also put out a call for others who are interest in and willing and able to work with me, Scott and Hilary to continue this wonderful Ministry. We are open to talking with folks who have a desire to develop the Audio Sermons there at St. Matthew’s and get them to me for updating the website on a weekly basis.  I would be interested in another interested in providing narrative for photos and possibly creating and organizing the photo section of the website. As always, I am always open to suggestions and ideas for the website.
I believe it has be about Twelve years since this Ministry first began and some people have come to depend on checking the Weekly schedule Scott provides for the main page of the website. If you think you might like to join us, please don’t hesitate to contact me so we can explore the opportunity together.
As always your Sister in Christ, Bev Schommer
