Marty Thomas of the Endowment Board awards Mrs. Shirley Gordon (Widow of Bishop Gordon pictured on the right of her) a Grant for her Rag Dolls 2 Love program. The funds will help pay for the postage to mail Rag Dolls that she and others in the community are making for the children in the war torn countries of Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.
June 16th, 2006 UPDATE:
This is the project I am trying to raise funds for. $350.00 would be nice, but I'll settle for less. The Fairbanks group has sent 200 and we have another 120 to send. We've sent to APOs so a shipment of 60 dolls costs $25.00.
This is an Episcopal project, and so far I'm the only Episcopalian making dolls and paying postage in Fairbanks.
