New to St. Matthews?

WELCOME TO ST. MATTHEW'S

There is an old wooden plaque on the door to St. Matthew's Church, which reads:

"To all who are joyful and thankful - to all who mourn and need comfort - to all who are weary and need rest - to all who are friendless and wish friendship - to all who pray and to all who do not but ought - to all who sin and need a Savior and to whosoever will - this church opens wide the door and in the name of Christ the Lord says WELCOME".

If you are new to Fairbanks and looking for a place to worship, you will find this church full of good people who will welcome you.  St. Matthew's has a warm-hearted atmosphere where all who come are accepted as members of Christ's family.  There are services at 8:00, 9:00 and 11:15 every Sunday morning with child care available, and several worship services throughout the week.  There are also various activities and ministries you can participate in if you wish. You are invited to talk to our Rector, Father Scott Fisher, or Hilary Freeman, Church Administrator, to get further information.

The church office is open from 9:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M. weekdays.  You are always welcome to come by or call at 456-5235. We are located at 1029 First Avenue, Fairbanks Ak. 99701.
