January 2011 Annual Meeting
by Karen Kiss
As we come to an end of 2010 one reflects their year whether personal, job or whatever. My reflection will be on Junior Warden for this past year. It's not that amazing things happened but it's more on the every day comings and goings of St Matthew's. Every month the Vestry comes together to plan and work on what ever is needed to keep "our house" open and moving forward. We are a large family at St Matthew's, and consideration for everyone is involved in our meetings.
I have been the Junior Warden this past year and have learned more than I ever thought possible on the grounds and the buildings of St Matthew's. Recently I even learned about "steam heat" and I knew absolutely zero about this before. But to keep "our house" open, there is work to do. It is important that everyone takes a role in St Matthew's; and those who volunteered over this past year in the working, cleaning, gardening or even mowing the lawn, I have to THANK YOU, because with out your help we could not have managed.
God's Blessings to everyone this new year.
